Larry Martin says no one in the world does a
better job in the garage door industry of building
and shipping custom doors on time and in 48 hours
or less than Martin Door Manufacturing.

"No one is able
to do what we do, no one," Larry
said of Martin Door's ongoing effort to
build the world's finest, safest garage
doors with the shortest lead time in the
industry.
Martin Door calls its approach
to lean manufacturing Flo-Max Manufacturing
and Larry said it is an ongoing process.
Despite international acclaim that the
company earned last year, Larry cautions
against believing Martin Door has arrived.
He said the company is still making the
effort to improve its ongoing processes,
and always will be.

That effort is noticed in the small details.
In the hardware department, for example, a new
colorized storage rack separates the different
sizes of track available with a Martin Door.
Previously Martin Door painted different colors
on the end of the hardware to separate them.
Now the rack takes away that need, and saves
some time in cleaning off the coding paint in
the process.
In the window department, another storage option
has been unveiled developed by the Supervisor,
Don McMillen, to handle the increasing demand
for window frames in a timely, efficient, cost-effective
simplified, orderly, manner. They recently unveiled
the first of four storage units that will simplify
the "Kan-Ban" storage process.
Martin Door Manufacturing also built a new
chamber off its powder coat area to specifically
deal with caming options now available with
each window on a Martin Door. Windows are available
in five different caming options, adding a distinctive
look to each Martin Garage Door.
