| Martin, director
of International Sales for Martin Door Mfg.,
was among a very select group of dignitaries
invited to a luncheon with His Royal Highness
held at the Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce.
Martin greeted Prince Turki in Arabic
and addressed the group in the Arabic
language and then English. Keith received
his PhD from the University of Utah after
completing his dissertation on the Islamic
education reform in Tunisia. Dr. Martin
has been an adjunct professor at the Salt
Lake Community College and the University
of Utah. He was the World Trade Association
of Utah's International Person of the
Year (1995-96)
Keith described the event as a life highlight.
"It's like adding icing to a life
focused on the Middle East," Dr.
Martin said.
Al-Faisal is the brother of Foreign Minister
Prince Saud al-Faisal and the son of the
late King Faisal. He served as the Saudi
ambassador to the United States for over
a year, and led Saudi external intelligence
service for 24 years.
Keith is a member of the Utah District
Export Council and has been a frequent
visitor to The Kingdom, which is one of
the over 80 countries with Martin Doors.
Keith and his wife Trisa are the parents
of six children and four grandchildren.
They live in Bountiful.
