Martin says the case in point was clearly
in evidence recently in the Philippines,
where he was told by Ramon Piñero,
Martin's dealer, that the local company
had lost a bid on a major project with
extra wide doors because the doors were
too expensive---compared to another
American brand.
Not new to the idea of being more expensive
than the competition, Martin set up
a meeting with the builder where he
simply made one request of the builder.
Would the builder go back to the American
manufacturer and request pricing for
a reverse angle track system and a door
two inches wider, along with a 30,000
cycle spring, similar to what the builder
was used too with Martin Garage Doors?
The builder did just that.
Much to the builder's surprise, when
the new bid was received, Martin was
over $100 less for each door. Martin
said the bids only compared three items,
not all of the 24 safety features, or
countless quality benefits that make
up every Martin Garage Door.
A Martin Door is all about value and
safety, according to Dave.
