SALT LAKE - David Pagliaroli believes a good
impression means everything.
As a result, David and his father Giovanni,
.are bringing Martin Doors to Italy
to change the Italian landscape.
"I think they will love it,"
Pagliaroli said of Martin Doors. "They
have very nice homes here. Once they
put on a Martin Door, their houses will
look beautiful. It will give a better
impression from other people's look."

Based in the province of Frosinone in the village
of Veroli, an hour-and-a-half south of Rome,
the Pagliarolis have already made a livelihood
out of sprucing up the home. Their business---Roli--
includes garden tools and other things to beautify
the home. They see Martin Doors as another cog
in that effort.
"People here in Italy spend a lot of money
for their homes. They don't care about vacations
as much as spending money for their homes,"
David said. He thinks the public will respond
favorably to a chance to add color and style
to the home by adding a Martin Garage door.
"We only have ugly garages here and I'm
talking about those old steel doors which are
only one piece (bascalante) and not painted.
They give a bad impression."
The Pagliarolis visited Martin Door Manufacturing
in October of 2003 and came away from the facility
confident about their future selling Martin
Doors in Italy.
"Whenever you read Martin Door, that means
it's well done," David said. He was especially
impressed with the warranty offered on each
Martin Door.
"We don't have a company in Europe that
gives a lifetime warranty for the door. If you
give the right warranty, people appreciate it
and will buy it," David said.
Initially the Pagliarolis are putting an emphasis
on selling Martin Doors on the island of Sicily
because they believe that region's setting is
the best place to showcase Martin Doors.
The Pagliarolis have made a business out of
home-related products, but their interests go
far beyond that. Giovanni is part owner of a
professional basketball team, which won the
championship last year. One of his two daughters
also played basketball in the second division
until this year.
David said the family is also interested in
improving the quality of life for others, where
they can. They brought some people from Argentina
to Italy whom they have employed and helped
find housing.
"Argentina has a very bad time with few
jobs. We like to help people who are down with
their problems," David said.
